The vision of the Jesus House is the long-term empowerment of people through hope, recovery, and transformation.
Founded by Sister Ruth Wynne and Sister Betty Adams, Jesus House opened in 1973 in a storefront building at Reno and Walker Avenues. These women recognized how love, compassion and spiritual encouragement could benefit individuals facing difficult life challenges. Their compassionate care laid the foundation for what is now a strong, evidence-based addiction and recovery program serving Oklahoma City for over 50 years.
The mission of the Jesus House is inspiring generosity to feed the homeless and providehope to those suffering from addiction.
