Stories of Hope That Inspire and Empower

During this time, my faith has both grown and changed in more ways than one. My favorite part of the day is morning devotions where I can enjoy worship and start my day in a way that feels right to me.  I've learned that my life is much better when it is not run on self-will, but on God's will.

I was at Jesus House from July 8, 2024 - January 17, 2025. While there, I found the comfort and confidence to stay sober.  Since then, I've gotten my own apartment, a car and my driver's license back. I've even gotten married and promoted to manager at my job. I would tell anyone starting out, that if I can do, YOU CAN!

I used to let myself get stressed over things out of my control. Now with the strength of my high power, I can handle situations while staying sober. I’m looking forward to living a sober, happy and successful life with my family.

Before I came to Jesus House, I always used to get in my own way of recovery. Today, through prayer and Jesus, I know that I am more than just my addiction. I work hard every day so that I can be with family again, living in peace and joy.

I have been sober for 5 months and I am thankful to Jesus House for helping me strengthen my relationship with Christ. I no longer fear death because now I know that God has a plan for me to prosper, give me hope, and give me a future. One thing I want you to know about me is that I have a really big heart that is full of love.

I have been sober for 8 months thanks to God and Jesus House. My addiction caused me to lose myself and the trust of those I love. After 13 trips to rehab, Jesus House helped me find the missing link: a connection to God. Jesus House has given me a new outlook on life. I love helping others and I am blessed to be able to do it every day.

I have been sober for 14 months. Before Jesus House, I did not care about myself or anything except getting high. I could not get sober on my own, so I came to Jesus House for help. Thanks to Jesus House, I have a job I love and I am moving into my own apartment. One good thing about me is that I never give up.
