The Jesus House hosted its annual Be the Light fundraising luncheon on April 29 at Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club, with this year being the organization’s 50th anniversary. We are so thankful to Governor Stitt, Senator Lankford, Lacie Lowry, Jed Castles, Alex Callegan and every sponsor, donor, guest, board member, staff and resident who made this event not only possible, but also extremely successful.
READ MORESince moving into the Orchard Park Elementary School building in 1982, the Jesus House staff, volunteers, and residents have prepared and provided over 4.5 million meals for the hungry, homeless, and addicted in the Oklahoma City community. However, due to the growing demand for services and the need for new facilities to keep up with the demand, Jesus House Board of Directors, CEO, architects, and contractors began praying and planning for a new 5,200 square foot kitchen and dining facility.
READ MOREOur new fitness center is now open! As one of the pillars of our Life Transformation Program, we recognize how necessary physical fitness is for someone on the path to recovery. So, we were thrilled to transition our previous kitchen & dining area into a modern fitness center, complete with cardio and weight training areas and a dedicated space for stretching and flexibility. Our residents are excited about this new space and the opportunity to be spiritually, mentally, and physically healthier!
Jesus House was blown away by the generosity of Westmoore Community Church (WCC) and their donation of $19,513. WCC has donated their Christmas Eve offering to Jesus House for over 20 years! We are so thankful for faithful supporters like WCC who believe in our mission, to feed the hungry and provide hope for those struggling with addiction.
