Reliable transportation is essential for residents who are working toward independence. The new location provides better access to public transportation, allowing residents to travel to employment, medical appointments, community resources, recovery meetings, and other essential services.

Employment Opportunities
Recovery is strengthened when people have opportunities to work, earn income, develop skills, and become financially independent.
The location places residents closer to employment opportunities throughout Oklahoma City. Residents will be able to pursue meaningful employment while participating in the recovery program, helping them develop the stability necessary for life after residential recovery.

Community Resources
The new location provides improved access to healthcare, behavioral health services, recovery resources, educational opportunities, employment services, and other community supports.
These connections are important because successful recovery does not happen in isolation. People need supportive relationships and access to resources that continue after they leave residential programming.

Accessibility
Our current facility presents significant physical limitations. Its design makes it difficult to adequately serve individuals with mobility challenges and other disabilities.
The new facility will allow Jesus House to make residential recovery more accessible to people who currently may have limited options for appropriate recovery housing.

The campus will provide a structured environment where residents can focus on recovery while preparing for independent living.

Residents will have a daily schedule that includes recovery programming, educational opportunities, case management, employment preparation, life-skills development, and other activities.

Residents will be expected to:
• Follow program rules and expectations.
• Participate in scheduled recovery programming.
• Meet regularly with case-management and recovery-support staff.
• Work toward individualized recovery and life goals.
• Maintain appropriate behavior and relationships with other residents.
• Follow curfew and sign-in/sign-out procedures.
• Work toward employment or other appropriate means of financial stability.
• Develop a plan for stable housing after completing the program.
• Take responsibility for their recovery and personal progress.

The campus will have staff and recovery-support personnel available to provide structure, accountability, and assistance when challenges arise.

A Structured Environment
Recovery requires structure, consistency, and accountability.

Residents will not simply receive a place to stay. They will be expected to actively participate in a program designed to help them develop the skills and habits necessary for independent living.

The goal is progression:
Recovery → Skills → Employment → Stability → Independent Living
As residents progress through the program, they will take increasing responsibility for their own recovery, employment, finances, relationships, and future.

Investing in recovery benefits more than the individuals who participate in the program.

When a person moves from substance use and instability into sustained recovery, the impact can extend to families, employers, neighborhoods, and the broader community.

A successful resident may:
• Maintain long-term recovery from substance use disorder.
• Obtain meaningful employment.
• Begin supporting themselves financially.
• Transition into stable housing.
• Reconnect with family and healthy relationships.
• Become involved in the community.
• Reduce reliance on emergency and crisis services.
• Become a productive member of the Oklahoma City workforce.

Jesus House understands that being a good neighbor means being responsible for the property, the residents, and the surrounding community.

The new campus will operate as a structured residential program with established rules, staff oversight, security and safety procedures, resident accountability, and clear expectations regarding visitors, conduct, and movement on and off the property.

Residents will be expected to respect the surrounding community and the people who live and work nearby.

Jesus House will also maintain channels for community members to communicate questions or concerns so that issues can be addressed promptly and responsibly.

Our goal is to be not only a provider of recovery services, but also a responsible and engaged community partner.

The Classen Circle location brings together several things that are essential to successful recovery:

Jesus House has been part of Oklahoma City's story for more than five decades.

Today, we are building on that history by becoming more focused and intentional in how we serve our community.

The new campus is not simply a new place for people to live.
